Nikolai Antoshkin, Who Helped Halt Chernobyl Disaster, Dies at 78

Gen. Nikolai T. Antoshkin survived radiation as commander of the operation that extinguished the Chernobyl nuclear plant fire. He died on Sunday of the coronavirus.
